Luxurious accommodation in recently converted 18thC. farm steading. With handcrafted furnishings, original art & antique detail everywhere. Deliciously Aga cooked meals from local & seasonal produce. Fine Wines & Secret Bar
Standing alone in an area of outstanding natural beauty, overlooking the National Trust estate of Wallington, Shieldhall with its ten acres of gardens and parkland was once home to the family of Capability Brown. Ideally located for many open gardens, grand houses, castles, the coast and the Roman Wall, the entire farmstead has been recently converted with each of the en-suite bedrooms having their own entrance into a central courtyard. Each room takes its name from the wood used for their furniture and fittings. Stephen, with his sons, make bespoke and restore antique furniture. His wife Celia and daughter Sarah are excellent cooks, creating delicious dinners and breakfasts for all their guests.
